Description: A new year, new semester, and new exec board - the future of TFN is evolving at the speed of light! Let’s embrace this change through the use of flashy golds and silvers, combined with a cool-toned cyber-punk array of colors, captured in a mugler-esque lens with the stylistic elements Kamilla Hanapova’s visionary shots.
-
Kamilla Hanapova:
- Kamilla Hanapova is Russian photographer who captures edgy images that focus on one’s silhouette. She gets close and personal, as well as shooting far and wide. Her use of metallics ultimately represents the vision of this shoot: a campy-gaze into the sparkling, flashy, and playful future of TFN.
- The overall dramatics of Kamilla’s aesthetic is what we want each model to embody!

The use of visual storytelling through the art of posing is something that Kamilla nails time and time again through her lens!

Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” Music Video
- Lady Gaga was always ahead of her time. Bad Romance is LOADED with tones of campy elements of metallics that captures you attention from the jump.
- Look at Gaga’s sharp and clean poses throughout the video! She is in tune with her body and it is present just by the way she moves alone. This is exactly the vision for the movement of the shoot itself.

Mother Gaga is giving everything and more that is to be accomplished in The Future is Now!

Manfred Thierry Mugler
- “The work of Thierry Mugler achieved an aesthetic that has never been easily executed; the fusion between old Hollywood and the unpredictability of the future.”
- Mugler used drama in his tailoring to create the idea of an extravagant, feminine personality
- His runway shows were pure spectacle, drawing varied inspiration from science fiction, vampires, devils, robots and the aquatic underworld
. “I made clothes because I was looking for something that didn't exist; I had to try to create my own world,” he once said.
- To Mugler, women were real-life superheroes, and so putting on a Mugler suit was tantamount to armour, bestowing on the wearer a layer of confidence and bodily autonomy that looked to the forms of the future.

Makeup from 2019’s Camp Met Gala
- Specifically, Lady Gaga (of course), Lupita Nyong’o, and Gigi Hadid’s makeup. The use of spikes to contrast their soft doe eyes allows for an interesting juxtaposition that is just SO futuristic!

The gold around the eyes? LOVE LOVE LOVE!
- Darren Chris and Billy Porter had wonderful looks as well! The chrome line running down across both of their lips is stunning and a MUST this shoot!

The overall use of metallics here is to DIE for!!!
